400m Finals Saturday Morning

M85 Harry Thompson BC won the race in 1:41.51 brealing his CAN record of 1:42.43 set last year on the same track.

Norm Lesage BC won the M80 Final in 1:32.53

Andy Aadmi won the M70 Final in 1:09.29. Dave Dunn AB (#913) was 2nd in 1:12.74

Karla Del Grande ON won the W55 Final in 1:06.32 - just off her CAN record of 1:05.91 

The W45 race was close with Renee Belanger PQ prevailing in 1:03.87

Renee was wearing her uniform that she wore in the 1988 Olympics 800m in Seoul.

Peter Lawson NS won a tight M40 finish in 51.75 breaking legendary Ray Cardinal's 52.2 CAN record set way back in 1987.

M35 Lawrence Williams ON completed the 400m Gold tally with a fine 51.71

Harry Thompson BC won the M85 race in 8:52.15 breaking Les Leyland's CAN record of 9:01 set in 2003.

W75 Helly Visser AB won her division in 7:48.18 breaking Judith Kazdan's 8:09 CAN record set in 1995.

W60 Judy Warick SK won the Gold in 6:35.98

M65 Barrie Dargie AB won his age group in 5:01.48

W55 Kathryn Martin NY won the 1500m in 5:24.34...well off her CAN record 4:58 set in 2007.

W40 Nicola Everton BC nicked the second place runner from Portugal, finishing in 4:50.20 in the W40 race.

M60 John Hawkins BC won the Gold in the High Jump in 1.65m .... a new CAN record. Peter Heinz-Juergen held the record at 1.57. Peter was in the same competition - placing 2nd with a 1.50 jump.
