W55 Karla Del Grande broke TWO W55 CAN Records

Karla broke the W55 record with her 8.69 in the 60m Semi. The old record was Carol Lafayette-Boyd's 9.18 set in 2000. That's new member Tim Burgess leading the heat and East Toronto Striders Des Moloney and Ron Da Silva Jardine

Karla then ran 28.81 to break Diane Palmason's W55 CAN record of 30.33 in the 200m

Tony Powell ran 27.19 to break the M65 CAN record of 28.15 held by The Great Earl Fee.

Two records in one heat! New member Duane Napier (in white) broke the M35 CAN record with a 7.06 in the 60m Semi and 7.08 in the Final. The old record was 6.9 held by David Walter AB set in 1987. (6.9ht = 7.14) Dree Ryan (in red) broke the M30 ONT record with a 6.95 in the Semi and 6.93 in the Final. The old record was Desmond Allen's 7.16 Dree also broke Malik Crepsac's 23.04 Meet Record with a 22.15 in the 200m. It was also better than my listed ONT record of 23.78 held by Mike Weniger in 2004.

M55 Kerry Smith (second from left) also broke the CAN 60m record twice - 7.59 in the Semi and 7.57 in the Final. The old record was 7.73 by Barry Boyd AB in 2007.

Mike Sherar's 53.42 is the fastest time I can find for the ONT M45 400m record. The first three across the line - Mike, Chris Lemassif, and Paul Osland were3/4 of the Silver Medal winning 4X400 team from the World's in Italy. (Malic Crepsac, the other member, was in attendance, working the finish line).
Jan Graczyk broke the listed M55 CAN Record in the Weight Throw. Jan threw 16.61m. Rudy Boghina's 12.51 set in 2006 was the record. Jan also broke the ONT record of 15.66 - which was a tei - held by Big John Kasperski in 2002 and Jan in 2008.
M60 Stan Seitz Pole Vaulted 3.00m, just missing Stan Egerton's 3.03 CAN Record.CAN
Many thanks to Ben Crepsac for manning the Bell on the last lap. |
