Our May Athlete of the Month is W65 Doreen Garner. Despite facing very wet and rainy conditions that were far from ideal for throwing, Doreen set TWO NEW W65 CANADIAN RECORDS in the Shot Put and Discus at Throwers Club Meet #1 in Toronto (May 25th):
9.58m in Shot Put (70.27%); the old record was 9.38m (Gabriella Moro, 2012)
27.77m in Discus (64.82%); the old record was 27.32m (Doreen at WMA Torun, 2019)
