OMA Road Race Series 2013 Starts This Weekend in Hamilton

The Ontario Masters 30K Championship is on the weekend hosted by North America’s oldest race – the Around The Bay Road Race in Hamilton.

Lynn Bourque, the OMA Road Race Director announces details of the 2013 Ontario Masters Road Race Series;

There are seven races in the series;

Around the Bay (30 k)

Harry’s Spring Run off (8 k)

Goodlife Toronto Half Marathon

Eaton Downtown Dash (10 k)

Midsummer Nights Run (15 k)

Longboat Toronto Island Race (5 k)

Somersault Marathon

As a member of OMA you are automatically eligible for age group medals in all of the individual road races and for overall placing in the series. Whenever possible a list of OMA results will be posted on site next to the overall results for the race. There will always be an OMA awards table on site with results and medals.
Please come by the OMA awards table and pick up your medal.
You (or a representative) must pick up your medal the day of the race.

  • The top three male and female runners in the series (based on age graded scoring) will be awarded. Overall winners will be announced at the Sunnybrook 8 k cross country meet in November. Winners will also be given free entry into the CC race. You must run at least 3 races to qualify for overall standing.
  • There will also be a club/team competition. The top three clubs/teams will also be awarded at the Sunnybrook 8 k Cross Country meet. The club/team standing will be determined based on a combined total of a clubs top three scorers.
  • A club/team must have at least three people who have run three races each.
  • A current list of placing, both individual and club/team will be posted on the OMA web site.
